Disciplr is revolutionizing how volunteers teach in local churches by transforming print-based materials into a dynamic digital platform. Accessible anytime, anywhere, it empowers traditional publishers to bridge the digital divide, reaching and engaging growing digital audiences like never before.
I led the UX design team and hands-on developed our design system for the first iteration and provided creative direction for the second release, driving Disciplr’s mission to empower modern teaching tools.
I also led an engineering team that rapidly prototyped concepts transforming API-stored lesson content into intuitive, easy-to-digest prompts. This quick, efficient approach allowed us to test user interest and validate the feature’s potential before investing in full development.
Our process followed the Lean Canvas approach which helped secure leadership buy-in to build and brand the business. As the creative lead, I ensured our vision stayed sharp while managing engineers to deliver a scalable, feature-rich application. To streamline development, we implemented a tailored workflow blending Kanban pull methodology and Scrum ceremonies, with designers working a sprint ahead of development. Challenging to execute, but the payoff was a seamless, efficient process that kept creativity and progress aligned.
